It’s not tolerable but let’s not condemn her.

My twitter timeline has been flooded by various tweets about Andi Eigenmann’s pregnancy.  I can’t help but reflect on the issue of early/teenage/unexpected pregnancies.  I’ve known a lot from our school or even batchmates who got pregnant during their teenage years. Most of them, or almost all, didn’t end up with the guys who got them pregnant.  Deep within my ideologies lies my disapproval of these circumstances.  In my belief, it is never a sin to bring human life unto this world, but it is not right to bring such when you’re unprepared.  A child, especially when it is your own, deserves the best in this world.  And that ‘best’ means a whole family, and a comfortable life. However, with the changing societal situations, teenage pregnancies is not a new story anymore.  This is not to be tolerated but condemnation would not correct the already done mistake.  Maybe what is better is to respect and understand them.  Ignorance could not be used for their defense, but their premature and vulnerable minds and feelings could be taken into consideration.  What is already done is done.  All we have to think about is the welfare of the mom and, most importantly, the baby.  We could start by keeping our mouths shut if we don’t have anything good to say about it.  It’s that simple.
